Salted Nuts Recipe

You will need:-

125 g (4 oz) nuts, blanched almonds or raw cashews
coarse salt

 

Cooking Time:- 1-2 minutes
Preheat oil in deep fryer for 10 minutes. Dry nuts, if blanched, lower into oil and fry until golden. Drain on absorbent paper liberally sprinkled with coarse salt. Serves 4.


Note: Use only large peanuts.


Variations:

1. Smokehouse almonds: Fry 1 large clove of garlic in oil for 1 minute and remove before frying almonds.

2. Mix ½ teaspoon paprika with coarse salt and sprinkle over drained nuts in the mixture.
