Custard Cream Recipe

Make enough for 20-23 cm (8-9 inch) flan case.

 

You will need:-

2 tablespoons custard powder

150 ml (¼ pt) milk
1-2 teaspoons castor sugar

150 ml (¼ pt) cream, whipped

 

Cooking Time:- 5 minutes


Mix custard powder to a smooth paste with the milk and cook over a gentle heat, stirring constantly until custard is smooth and thickened. Turn custard into a large basin and beat well. Set aside until cold. Sweeten cold custard to taste with sugar and fold in whipped cream. Use to line base of cooked sweet flan before topping with fruit.
