Beer Batter Recipe

You will need:-

125 g (4 oz) flour
½ teaspoon sugar
15 g (½ oz) corn flour

½ teaspoon salt
1 egg, lightly beaten

125 ml (½ cup) beer

1 teaspoon oil
 

Sieve dry ingredients into a bowl. Mix egg, beer and oil together. Make a well in the centre of flour, pour egg mixture into welt and gradually mix flour into liquid until it is a smooth cream. Beat for 2 minutes. Leave to stand for30 minutes.
