Also an easy base for soups of your own design.
You will need :- 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed beef broth (bouillon) 1 soup can water 1/4 cup sliced onion 1/4 cup sliced carrot 1/4 cup sliced parsley 2 sprigs parsley 1 small bay leaf 1/8 teaspoon thyme leaves
Heat all ingredients to boiling. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes. Strain. 8 servings (about 1/2 cup each).
Variation
Chicken consommé: substitute 2 cans (10.5 oz each) condensed chicken broth for the condensed beef broth (bouillon).
