Pineapple Salad Recipe

You will need :-

2 small pineapples

1 apple

3 pears

8 oz. white grapes

castor sugar

1 tablespoon Grand Marnier or Cointreau (optional)

Preparation Time : -  15 minutes

                            

Cut pineapple in half lengthwise. Scoop out the flesh and remove the core. Cut the flesh in small pieces and place in a bowl.

 

Peel the fruit if desired and seed the grapes. Core and slice the apple and pears and add to the pineapple with the grapes. Sprinkle with castor sugar to taste and add the liqueur, if used. Leave the bowl covered, in a cool place until the sugar has dissolved.

 

Just before serving pile the fruit back in the pineapple shells. The remaining fruit may be offered separately. Serves 4.

 

Quick Tip

 

To skin grapes - plunge into boiling water for 2 minutes, then into cold water. The skin will come off without any difficulty.
