Basic Boiled Rice Recipe |

You will need :- 8 cups water 1 slice lemon 2 teaspoons salt 1 cup long grain rice
Cooking Time:- 12 -16 minutes
Bring water, lemon and salt to fast boil in shallow or deep fry pan. Add rice, forking it through the water to prevent it sticking together. Adjust temperature to keep rice just on the boil and cook with pan uncovered. Test a couple of grains after 12 minutes. The rice should be cooked through but still firm. When cooked, remove from heat immediately, strain and keep hot over a pan of hot water or cool and use as needed. Rice freezes well and can be readily reheated by standing over a pan of hot water.
