Noodles with Kidney Sauce Recipe


You will need.....     2 oz. butter

                             1 onion

                             2 lambs' kidneys

                             1 small can sweet com

                             1 can kidney soup

Preparation Time    1/2 packet noodles

10 minutes              1/2 teaspoon chopped parsley

 

Cooking Time         

15 minutes              

 

Melt butter and fry chopped onion until transparent. Cut kidneys in half, remove skin and tubes and cut flesh into small pieces. Add to the part and fry for 5 minutes. Drain corn, add to pan with the soup. Bring slowly to the boil and simmer for 1 minute.

 

Cook noodles in a large saucepan of salted, boiling water for 7-8 minutes. Drain and arrange on a large, hot serving dish.

 

Pour the sauce in the centre and serve sprinkled with chopped parsley.

Serves 4.

 

Quick Tip

 

For the preparation prior to a party: the cooked noodles can be kept moist for a few hours in a large polythene bag, with a little oil added to them to prevent sticking.

To serve: reheat in a large saucepan with lid, or in a slow oven in a covered dish.
