Lasagne Noodles Recipe

You will need :-

½ packet lasagne verde

salt and pepper

2 cans chicken Hot Toast Savory

2 oz. button mushrooms

1 oz. butter

1 oz. plain flour

½ pint milk

1 egg

few tomatoes, cut in wedges

few sprigs parsley

 

Preparation Time :- 10 minutes

 

Cooking Time :- 15 minutes

 

Cook lasagne in salted boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and lay flat on a tea towel.

 

Spread hot toast savory over each one and roll up loosely. Place in an ovenproof dish and keep warm in oven.

 

Melt butter and fry mushrooms for 2-3 minutes. Drain and keep hot, for garnish. Add flour to the remaining butter, and mix. Cool for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, gradually add milk and bring to the boil, stirring until thickened. Beat egg and add to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Heat gently but do not boil. Pour sauce over lasagne and garnish with mushrooms, tomatoes and parsley. Serves 4.

 

Quick Tip

 

If lasagne are inclined to stick together when cooked, separate them after draining by placing under hot running water, or dip in a pan of hot water for a few seconds. This also makes theme easier to roll up.
