Broiled Fish Recipe

You will need :-

2 pounds fish fillets or steaks about 1 inch thick

1 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted

 

Set oven control at broil and or 550°. Grease broiler pan and place in oven to heat. If fillets are large, cut into serving pieces. Season both sides of fish with salt and pepper. If fish has not been skinned, place skin side up in broiler pan; brush with butter.

 

Broil 2 to 3 inches from heat 5 to 8 minutes or until light brown. Brush fish with butter; turn carefully and brush again with butter. Broil 5 to 8 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily with fork.

 

Serves 6.

 

Variation

Broiled Fish Italiano: Omit salt, pepper and butter; baste fish with 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing during broiling.
