Minute Steaks Recipe

You will need :-

4 beef cubed steaks

½ cup all-purpose flour

¼ cup shortening

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon pepper

 

Coat steak with flour. Melt shortening in skillet; cook steaks over medium high heat until brown and crispy, about 4 minutes on each site.

 

Season steaks with salt and pepper. If desired, top each steak with butter or margarine.

 

4 servings.

 

Variation

 

Steaks Stroganoff: In a large skillet, cook and stir 1 medium onion, thinly sliced, in 1 tablespoon butter until tender. Remove onion and set aside.

 

In the same skillet, cook steaks as directed except - omit salt and pepper. Place steaks on warm platter.

 

Pour fat from skillet. Stir together onion, ½ teaspoon salt in skillet; heat through. Serve over steaks.
