Sausages with Cheese and Bacon Recipe

You will need:-

1 lb. pork sausages

4 oz. Cheddar cheese

8 rashers back bacon

2 tablespoons apple chutney

 

Preparation Time:- 5 minutes

 

Cooking Time:- 20 minutes

 

Grill sausages slowly for 15 minutes. Make a slit halfway through each sausage, down the length.

 

Put slices of cheese in each slit. Remove rind from bacon and spread with chutney. Wrap round sausages, with the chutney inside. Secure with cocktails sticks.

 

Place under a hot grill for about 5 minutes until bacon is crisp and golden and cheese has melted. Serves 4.

 

Quick Tip

 

Never prick sausages. Fry or grill slowly to prevent the skins from bursting, turning as often as is necessary to brown evenly.
